Anaheim White House Marks 39 Years With Italian-Style Anniversary Dinner
08.11.26
Anaheim White House Italian Steakhouse is turning 39, and the historic restaurant is celebrating with a special Italian-style anniversary dinner on Sunday, Aug. 16, starting at 6 p.m.
Space is limited for the multicourse evening, priced at $95 per person or $150 per person with wine pairings, plus tax and gratuity. Reservations can be made by calling 714-772-1381.
Chef and owner Sir Bruno Serato, known both for his upscale restaurant and his humanitarian work, will greet guests throughout the night and share stories from his career.
The reception opens with a spread of tray-passed bites: polenta gorgonzola made with creamy polenta and imported Gorgonzola Dolce, prosciutto and fig pairing Prosciutto di Parma with fresh fig and aged balsamic, mini caprese bites with fresh mozzarella and vine-ripened cherry tomatoes, and bruschetta topped with tomatoes, basil, garlic and olive oil. Guests who choose the wine pairing option will sip Andreola Prosecco Dirupo Brut from Valdobbiadene during the reception.
Dinner begins with gamberoni pomodoro, Pacific prawns sautéed with vine-ripened tomatoes, garlic, white wine, fresh herbs and a touch of Calabrian chili, paired with Pieropan Soave from Veneto.
For the main course, guests will enjoy scaloppini Marsala, veal scaloppini sautéed with local mushrooms in a Sicilian Marsala wine sauce and served with saffron mashed potatoes. A seafood option is available upon request. The course is paired with "La Casetta" Valpolicella Ripasso Classico Superiore from Domini Veneti.
Dessert is torta al cioccolato, an Italian chocolate cake layered with dark chocolate ganache and finished with fresh seasonal berries.
Housed in a national landmark mansion dating to 1909, Anaheim White House serves Northern Italian fare, including prime steaks, fresh seafood and a broad pasta menu, alongside an extensive wine list and elegant, attentive service.
Its location near Disneyland has made it a longtime favorite for tourists, locals and visiting dignitaries. Over the years the restaurant has hosted Madonna, David Beckham, Gwen Stefani, Andrea Bocelli, Wolfgang Puck, Derek Jeter and Oscar de la Hoya, along with U.S. presidents and members of royalty.
Beyond the restaurant, Serato founded Caterina's Club, a nonprofit that feeds children in need, helps families find permanent housing and trains at-risk youth for careers in hospitality. His humanitarian work has drawn coverage from People magazine, "The Drew Barrymore Show," "Access Hollywood," "CBS Evening News" and "NBC Nightly News."
His honors include being named a CNN Hero, knighthoods from the Italian government and the Royal House of Savoy, the Ellis Island Medal of Honor, a papal blessing from Pope Francis and a humanitarian award presented on the steps of the U.S. Capitol. He has received numerous proclamations and Man of the Year awards, which he continues to accept as a way to spotlight Caterina's Club.
Anaheim White House is located at 887 S. Anaheim Blvd. in Anaheim. to make reservations or obtain more information, call 714-772-1381 or visit anaheimwhitehouse.com.

Rent The Runway Warehouse Sale Comes to Tustin
08.11.26
Designer fashion lovers, mark your calendars. Rent The Runway is bringing its warehouse sale to Tustin from Aug. 13-16, with up to 90% off a huge lineup of women's apparel, including cocktail dresses, gowns, jumpsuits, tops, jackets and more.
The sale runs Thursday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. It's hosted by Alternative Retail, and one ticket gets shoppers access to every brand at the sale.
Here's what to know before you go:
Tickets are required for anyone 15 and older, and minors need to be with a ticketed adult. Each ticket allows one hour of shopping starting at the time listed, so a 10 a.m. ticket means checkout by 11 a.m. Buying more than one ticket for different dates or times gets all tickets canceled, so stick to one. If the date you want is sold out, standby spots open daily, though entry isn't guaranteed and depends on space.
A few policies to keep in mind: all sales are final, there are no changing rooms or try-ons, and bags and backpacks aren't allowed inside. Strollers are OK but may be inspected. The sale takes cards and cash, no Amex, and parking is free.
Since items come from Rent The Runway's rental program, shoppers should look pieces over closely before buying, since nothing can be returned once it's purchased.
Tickets and more information, here.
2227 Park Ave. in Tustin.
